Editorial policy
Our goal is accurate, useful, plain-English information you can verify.
Sources
We rely first on primary, official sources: HealthCare.gov, Medicare.gov, CMS, the IRS, the U.S. Department of Labor, HHS/ASPE and state regulators, and on respected nonpartisan research such as KFF. Each guide lists its sources with the date we accessed them.
No invented numbers
We don't publish made-up premiums, quotes or statistics. When we show an example calculation, we label it as illustrative. Real prices depend on your location, age, household and income.
Review and updates
Each guide shows a "last reviewed" date. We review guides when rules change (for example new IRS limits, Open Enrollment dates or federal rules) and at least before each Open Enrollment season. Guides are reviewed by [EDITOR NAME / BIO].
Independence from referral partners
Partners don't write, review or approve our content, and referral fees don't affect what we say about plan types or options. We always point to free official options alongside any partner link.
